CEU OpportunitiesI. Conferences and Workshops The Stuttering Foundation sponsors the following conferences and workshops annually or bi-annually. Two-Day Conference The annual two-day conference, Stuttering Therapy: Practical Ideas for the School Clinician, is held each year in June. This conference features presentations by Peter Ramig, Ph.D., Barry Guitar, Ph.D., Charles Healey, Ph.D., Patricia Zebrowski, Ph.D., Bill Murphy, M.A., and Kristin Chmela, M.A.. Following each presentation, small-group discussion sessions are used to provide guided practice of skills presented in the large-group sessions, as well as give attendees opportunities to share specific concerns they may have about children or fluency therapy. Five-Day Workshops Three five-day workshops will also be offered in three different locations and by three different teams of instructors. All three conferences, however, share the same focus: Diagnosis and Treatment of Children who Stutter: Practical Strategies. The five-day workshops are limited to 20 participants each and focus on intensive instruction and guided practice for speech-language pathologists interested in improving their skills with children who stutter. Two-Week Workshop Stuttering Therapy: Workshop for Specialists is held every other year . It is co-sponsored by The Stuttering Foundation and the University of Iowa and directed by Patricia Zebrowski, Ph.D. and Toni Cilek, M.A. It has been attended by 235 clinicians from the U.S. and 85 from other countries around the world. Each workshop is truly an international experience. II. Videotape Series Practical Ideas for the School Clinician - set of 6 videos with CEU materials. This series of 6 tapes will be available Summer, 2005.
